Every year, over 200,000 women are diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. But the life-saving procedures of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy can seriously impair a survivor's ability to function. Both during and for many months after treatments, women may experience a wide range of disabling problems, which may be physical, cognitive, or psychological in nature. Up until now, breast cancer survivors in our Greater Hartford community had no where to turn if they needed comprehensive rehabilitation services for these problems. But now with the support of the Aetna Foundation, Johnson & Johnson and Lincoln Financial Foundation, Easter Seals Greater Hartford Rehabilitation Center is pleased to offer survivors a comprehensive array of rehabilitative services that can help them rebuild their lives after the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. With our strong reputation and longstanding commitment to medical rehabilitation, Easter Seals understands the specialized care that survivors need. As the only Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Hartford County, we have a unique array of professionals with expertise in providing medical rehabilitation for breast cancer survivors.
