Program Evaluation Summary
Easter Seals Greater Hartford Rehabilitation Center

As one component of the Center's commitment to the quality of its services and to its quality improvement process, all programs engage in a number of program evaluation activities.  These efforts include:

1. Pre- and post-treatment functional assessment measurement
2. Program effectiveness measurement
3. Program outcome measurements
4. Patient/client satisfaction ratings
5. Patient/client input sessions
6. External stakeholder surveying

The attached reports detail the findings of these activities for the most recent 12-month period.  Cumulatively, they provide quantitative and qualitative documentation of the successes of all of our programs.  Be it gains in functional capacity, increases in client productivity, or sustained competitive employment, the quantitative results show that lives have been positively changed.  External benchmarks that are available suggest that we are achieving outcomes that are above the average for our "industries."  The more qualitative input of satisfaction surveys and focus groups yielded the highest levels of satisfaction yet seen here at the Center.  With 100% good or excellent ratings for 78% of the variable groupings and no grouping with less than an 80% good or excellent rating.

The results did highlight some very specific aspects of service delivery to be further analyzed and/or changed.  Potential changes are summarized in Action Plans included with each analytic report.  They all represent procedural improvements, general enhancements, and program growth opportunities.  No findings, however, reflect critical or necessary strategic modifications in program design or service delivery.  All elements within the Action Plans would be implemented during the coming quarter.

Program findings and actions plans will be disseminated to program staff, existing clients and patients, referral sources, and potential supporters.  Dissemination will be achieved both through hard copy and posting on the Center's web-site.
