Watch videoFor 75 years, Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut has provided critical services and powerful advocacy so that people with disabilities and active military and veterans are provided with the resources they need to achieve their full potential in life. With tailored services in education, health, employment, and community, Easterseals is helping people – regardless of age or ability – participate fully in the community and in life. In schools, workplaces and communities, Easterseals is fostering an environment where every one of us is included and valued, respected and accepted in all aspects of society.
On April 8, 2024, our Easterseals colleague and friend, Kathy Buck, passed away. A respected professional in serving people with intellectual and developments disabilities, Kathy dedicated nearly 40 years of her life to improving the lives of others. We commemorate a legacy of courage, compassion, and dedication. Despite facing a terminal health diagnosis, Kathy’s spirit was unwavering as she continued to lead the growth of our programs and staff, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who crossed her path. The best tribute we can offer is to carry forward her resilience, positive attitude, and commitment to bettering people’s lives.
