If you're 70½ or older, your retirement savings can do more good than you might think. A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) lets you give directly from your IRA to the causes you love, tax-free. For those subject to required minimum distributions (RMDs) from their traditional IRAs, a QCD can help satisfy this requirement tax-free, so you can give more to charity while paying less in taxes.
